We are pleased to annouce that we are changing our name.  We are changing to Reel Fishing Outfitters.  We have changed our name to reflect the growth in our business and our inventory.  We are much more than just a bait and tackle store.  We hope you enjoy our new name and our broader selection of products.  The name change will take effect slowly during 2008.

Madison Lake is a small town in southern Minnesota, ~15 minutes NE of Mankato on State Highway 60.  Madison Lake is a community surrounded by approximately a dozen fishable lakes.  This feature made Madison Lake a natural place for a Bait and Tackle store.  There has been a Bait and Tackle store located in Madison Lake for over 35 years.  In 2004, we purchased the business.  Our thoughts behind the purchase were to re-establish a true Bait and Tackle store.  We have greatly expanded the types and amount of tackle.  We are the largest retailer of live bait in the area. We stock over 100 different types of reels.  We stock G. Loomis and Shimano Top Shelf rods. We have approximately 1000 different crank baits including Rapala, Salmo, Reef Runner and others

As our customers have said, "this may be the same old red building, but it's not the same old bait and tackle store".  Stop in and look around.  Looking is free and advice is worth what you pay for it!  And, oh, the coffee's always on but it's made the way our morning person likes it!

Our store hours during the winter months are Sunday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 7:00 pm and Friday and Saturday, 6:00 am - 8:00 pm.

Our store hours during the summer months are Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 8:00 pm, Friday, 6:00 am - 9:00 pm, Saturday, 5:00 am - 9:00 pm and Sunday, 5:00 am - 8:00 pm.
